During this journey, you will explore beautiful mountain scenery and pass through more than 18 tunnels. Upon reaching Srinagar, check into your pre-booked hotel. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Srinagar.
Srinagar- Kargil NH1
Good morning! After breakfast, we will drive to Kargil, which is now part of the Union Territory of Ladakh. Kargil is approximately 210 km from Srinagar, and while the direct distance can be covered in 4-5 hours, the journey will take around 7-8 hours. Along the way, we will visit the beautiful Sonmarg Valley, Zojila Pass, and Zero Point, where adventurous activities are available. We will also stop at the Kargil War Memorial and several scenic locations to capture memorable moments with your camera. Once we arrive in Kargil, we will check into our hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Kargil - Leh NH1
The morning after breakfast, drive to Leh city in Ladakh, a distance of approximately 212 km. This journey will take about 8-9 hours, as you will visit several notable places along the way. First, stop at the Mulbekh Monastery, then continue to Nakila and Fotula Pass. You will also visit the famous Lamayuru Monastery and the Moon Land area before proceeding to Leh. Once in Leh, you can explore the Nimo Villa, the confluence of the Zanskar River, Magnetic Hill, and the Pathar Sahib Gurudwara. Finally, you'll be dropped off at your pre-booked hotel in Leh.
Leh - Nubra
After breakfast, check out and drive to Nubra Valley, which is approximately 140 km from Leh. The journey will take around 4-5 hours. Along the way, you will pass Khardung La Pass, the highest motorable pass in the world. Next, visit the famous monastery in Disket village, Disket Monastery. From there, proceed to Hunder village, where you will stay for the night and have the opportunity to explore a double-humped camel ride in the Hunder sand dunes.
Nubra- Turtuk- Nubra
Early in the morning, after breakfast, drive to and visit the last village of Indian Turtuk village distance around 80km from Hunder Nubra then back to Hunder and overnight stay in Hunder Nubra
Nubra to Pangong
Early in the morning, after breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake via the Shoyak River. The journey takes about 4-5 hours, as the distance is approximately 140 km from Nubra. Upon reaching Pangong Lake, check in to your fixed camp or cottages. After that, you are free to explore the highest salt lake, which changes its shades throughout the day. Pangong to Leh City
Early in the morning, try to reach the lake to experience the sunrise. Afterwards, have breakfast and drive back to Leh via Changla Pass, which is the second-highest pass on your journey to Ladakh. Along the way, you'll reach Kharu. If you're interested, you can visit the oldest monastery in Leh, which is Hemis Monastery. As you head toward Leh, you'll see Shy Palace and the school from the movie "3 Idiots." Once you arrive in Leh city, check in to your hotel. Later, it's recommended to explore the Leh market at your own pace before heading back to the hotel.
